Barby is already doing sacred work. I really hope he finds the right duals, semi-duals, supervisors and others to make it better and to avoid the pitfalls of the type.

I would imagine in the days before we killed God, as Nietzche would say, when there was not such a constant lure within the ever-present TEchnology TO understand it systematically (and to become famous and to profit from it,) some of our TeSi cult leaders would have been in other fields entirely, some would have been benign to benevolent priests, and some would have been Torquemadas. That sounds definitely right indeed.
One could think they kind of "dominate" it, but really, the current Zeitgeist makes it a lot worse for this type.
It might help to remember that the shadow of a "lured" TeSi, with counterphobic polr, would be something like a high Ni TiSe.
Andy Warhol, his factory and his "15 minutes of fame" comes to mind.

Andy Warhol, his factory and his "15 minutes of fame" comes to mind. Well, not surprisingly, Barby chose precisely the image of himself standing beatified like St. Francis Bonaparte between his Spanish two banner day co-hosts that I found so jarring for his Facebook avatar (One I guess is found Fe TiNe and the other found Ne SiFe, so mirage and supervisee?). This in front of the big G logo in the stars. The beatification comes not only from the Ne 'epiphany' via tool of Si 'traditions' but also from the Fe role ('us'). And I think Fe/Ne has a lot of issues with 'fame'. The shadow works both ways.

I hope Barby has a great time in Greenland. After all, we are the world. In the villa of Ormen stands a solitary for 15 minutes Geography Now! (compare especially @3'58" to 4'35" with that fb avatar/cover photo ensemble...just for shits and giggles)

His logo says geo btw. but...hmmm... I dearly hope he doesn't start studying with Teal or Katherine before he learns to mention Buñuel and Almodóvar in the film section on Spain.

He has been going through the alphabet to do all the countries in the world for six years, along with some other geographical commentary. He is up to Spain now I hope everyone realized I found that extremely amusing. I do find ahmed 's and vincent 's allergy to his videos a bit mind-blowing tbh. I find them at best informative and delightful, at worst innocuous to boring. As I've become interested in the countries of the Sahel in Africa recently, they are like a goldmine for me. This huge difference in reaction intrigues me. Why would I care if I'm being bombarded by Si factoids vincent? It's a video, I can stop it and take notes...or just ignore them. This sounds to me suspiciously like a hidden belief that the facts should be worth learning, and related to Ti, but...wrong.

Is it like the Te PolR feels something should be DONE with the factoids and it can't? Sometimes it seems like the biggest problem with Te PolR isn't what it can't deal with but what it thinks it has to and doesn't. Like...not understanding what information to just.. ignore.

The one on Facebook has something of a labyrinth already.
This one kind of evokes an (atlantean) trident and a dragon.
the "center of it all"...
Yes indeed... let's hope !

Yes. That sounds right to me.
And i think that's another aspect of the vulnerable aspect of the polr.
Ti helps with that because it contributes to the hierarchization of the information.
When i have to hierarchize information in real time, on the fly, without a clear Ti structure, it can feel like a bombardment indeed.
Ni will try to chew it all, so to speak (but as i said this can take some time). Or will give up.
That being said, i wouldn't say i'm getting allergic reactions in his case.
It can get a LOT worse with other TeSis.
I suscribed to him and i intend to watch some of his videos on lesser known countries.
I am absolutely sure i'll learn a LOT from them.

Usually feels like I'm in a sea of informational clutter and I don't know how to contextualize any of those things properly. But at best it's neutrality or indifference, and if it fits into a story or a narrative of some sort that's usually how i can make it work out for me. I basically avoided taking geography in secondary school for that reason but ended up stuck with chemistry. Which, unlike geography, doesn't even have the possibility of a "story" tied to help chew things up :'))

ahmed , when I was in high school I liked English (literature, grammar, writing... ), foreign language, and art. I disliked math and science intensely and was neutral toward "social studies", which consisted mostly of history and some economics and what could be considered poli sci. I would cram at the last minute in social studies for all the tests so I could get the highest grades as with language and lit but I did not care for it as much. We did not have geography as a discipline and geography as in location on maps was taught notoriously poorly in the NYC public school system in the 60s and 70s. I developed a passion for geography later, at least for knowing where the countries are and who is in them and what kind of culture they have. It is rather splotchy with me (as indeed most things are until I'm forced to explain them or have space to create with them) but it is an abiding fascination. I have even reached the point where what kinds of ores they mine interests me. I highly recommend it. There is something to be said for the world not being flat. You can hold it as it holds you.

Here's his Israel video that I said in this discussion starting here I'd comment on. I'm writing some comments about how this video reflects his ct but would be interesting if you get to check it out before I post 'em to see how your observations jibe with mine, so feel free to post here before I do. tbcd
