Now with FiNe as Ben's supervisor, we should have already seen some kind of Fi challenge by now at the one hour mark.
With FiSe...well forget it, them two would be conflictors.

But the thing is we have to remember that as TiSe, with Fi role Lex still 'absolutely values' Fi. Particularly in 'the social domain'. So... I have to watch more!

Yeah, and the thing is Ben already went out of his way to symbolically murder one of those conflictors. Ayn Rand, whom "he has a lot of negative respect" for.

Well, in shadow they are activity partners. So very fruitful for the flies...

Starting around 1:8' there is a shift. Lex asks two questions, and he has more parity with Ben. Ben finally says the second question, around four minutes later, is ' a very interesting topic that I've thought about for a long time'. Lex had to take a deep breath first to ask. He wants to know what's missing from AGI. But this is after they surveyed the actual field of AGI within global AI. Lex puckers his lips and stares intently though abashedly at Ben and this seems to be the first time we actually see Ben reaching (vultologically ) for N--eyes going up into his own head. It seems as though this challenge is coming from Lex's higher "S" relative to Ben. Lex understands who and what 'dominates' now (Se)--to use his own word--and also what categories (Si) the players in the 'field' fall into better than Ben because he's a more grounded type. This also involves the pseudo-TeSi aspect to TiSe. When they put on the suit (Lex wears one), they're at home in the 'corporate' world--corporate being how aggregates of people incorporate into larger bodies to compete pooling "T" skills. So Lex isn't going to just let Ben determine what 'the state of play' is in the field. He seems to be able to challenge Ben from "S", not "F". And ultimately also from absolute rather than relative value Ti. He wants to know what the missing links are now to step into the future. He doesn't buy it that the future is now, as the saying goes. I think. Ben seems to take the challenge very well...so far. vincent ? Anyone?

ps also, it's interesting to note that if Ben were actually shadowing, then Lex would be acting as Ben's benefactor and giving him Se so he could access his inferior function.

In and out in this exchange, I smell blood in Lex's eyes. The beta SeNi user is showing through with his alpha supervisor.

But I'm also sure I'm missing a lot because there must be a lot here I don't fully understand in what they're talking about.

Ben finally says the second question, around four minutes later, is ' a very interesting topic that I've thought about for a long time' (rewards Lex). Lex had to take a deep breath first to ask. i also noticed that in that part of the interview, even before Lex's deep breath question, Ben gives a lot of quick looks to the left, toward the camera.
As if he was checking the reaction of the community.
Something i think he also did in the first minutes of the interview, iirc, when he was starting to run the show and kind of "steal" Lex's found Fe.
Yes, i think that's absolutely right.
And interestingly, Ben answers Lex's question with a S metaphor, listing categories of flying machines
Yes he does, i agree.

And Lex added in a real life organic one, not man made. Birds. To which Ben adds on his beloved immortalizing flies.

Same here.
And the thing is, Ben is speeding up, objectively.
To the point that Lex, who knows the field and its history, has to ask him "can you backtrack ?".

Actually, Ben didn't say 'flies'. He 'dropped the ball' in a sense because he said 'bugs', and a lot of bugs don't fly (while ostriches among birds are the rarity).
And then Lex says, "and there are catapults you can just launch', 'fielding' 'the ball', and once again he chuckles, but this time at his own joke.

Right after saying, "It just seems really inefficient".

Lex's actual challenge to Ben comes on S and T grounds, not F.

Then Ben bonds with Lex on Fe and I guess also Si, your (our) Russian (Jooish) heritage is showing.
