Well, the funny thing is the hospice volunteer is the kitschiest by far, but she's also the highest health level (by far relative to at least one of the other three) vincent . So I don't think the issue is just her 'phobic Ni', but also that she isn't shadowing--at all. So you can count on those homily wall plaques rolling in for every occasion of your life--such as homemade chicken soup sent on the death of an elderly parent with a book called "Chicken Soup for the Grieving Soul", special delivery from the condolence company. Which is highly preferable to being recruited as more symbolist quote-wielding 4w5 cannon fodder for the System. There's a song in there somewhere...'you put the bow in Baudelaire, you put the ribbon on Rimbaud...'

Perhaps part of the reason TeSi 'orthopraxes', even 'goes mujahid' is...similarly to what I've said about my using Te instrumental in lieu of Fe PolR as the only readily available extroverted function....Si is the only readily available introverted function to use for Ni PolR, so observing the rituals pinch hits for processing the depth meaning. And similarly having to 'find' the inferior, Se and Fi respectively (for me and them), is avoided along with further avoiding the PolR by overemphasizing the instrumental.

I'll have to look at more material, but i think that's right. Fe role / Fi seeking makes sense for him.
His e-type also suggests that it's right. Or close to.

Right.
That makes perfect sense. And that's why it happens in a very similar way with FeSi, and very obviously so in some of those we discussed together (Domestic guru, Nostril measurer...)

Yes, the typing is sp/sx 7w6(6w5) with 2 and 1 fix, arrived at after extensive research into him and discussion. There is no better example of E7 E-Plan, God's Plan, 7 between 5 and 1, than he. (Well, there is Florence Welsh, but she lacks additional One factor). There is high correlation of 7 with Te and very high with Ne; there is also high correlation of 1 with Te. In fact TeSi, Te-->Si-->Ne, rather perfectly encapsulates the 127 tritype, which I called "Tomorrow Will Be Better". It will be better precisely due to the 'reification' I spoke of with using Si to get from the interfacing thought realm to the thought realm of 'new horizons'. (And...hmmm...don't know about 'Impact" for Ne/Se. It loses this sense of panoramas and vistas, of opening up space/s. Actually Te often has as much or more immediate "impact". Anyhoo... ). If you listen to Cat Steven's work, a lot of it is about how to do things effectively, how to get to those openings without making too many mistakes. Consider: Father & Son Cat Stevens It's not time to make a change Just relax, take it easy You're still young, that's your fault There's so much you have to know Find a girl, settle down If you want you can marry Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. I was once like you are now, and I know that it's not easy To be calm when you've found something going on But take your time, think a lot Why, think of everything you've got For you will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not. How can I try to explain? 'Cause when I do he turns away again It's always been the same, same old story From the moment I could talk I was ordered to listen Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away I know I have to go. It's not time to make a change Just sit down, take it slowly You're still young, that's your fault There's so much you have to go through Find a girl, settle down If you want you can marry Look at me, I am old, but I'm happy. All the times that I cried, keeping all the things I knew inside It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it If they were right, I'd agree, but it's them they know not me Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away I know I have to go.

vincent , "Wild World" follows a similar pattern, especially with his mini-intro in the live video saying it was about himself. Another 'tell' with Cat Stevens (for me) that he's probably TeSi is that implacable positivity that never allows itself to get too ooey-gooey because of the 'brass tacks' 'hard knocks' sullen factor of the Te frame. This sullen factor I think is not usually the case with say FeSi, but he's too light (and too painstakingly logical/procedural) for FeNi i.m.o.; meanwhile the Fe is not instrumental so role fits... (ps why anyone would boot someone who constantly writes about the difficulty of making choices while remaining positive about the future out of 7w6[6w5] lead plus out of the head triad completely, especially when privy to the long process involved in typing him, is...well, not everyone needs 'reasons' in the sense the word's usually used. )

Cat Stevens was just wildly popular among young people here in the early to mid seventies. This was because of the very deft balancing of 'meaningful message' with 'keeping it light', so, similar to John Denver, remembering these lyrics is closer to remembering childhood rhymes than songs. But looking back, even the less concrete, more 'mystical' lyrics just seem chock full of Te-->Si-->Ne with big Fe role, rather cph Ni PolR and a foot in the water of Fi. But ultimately it seems it's about over-amped Ne agenda. The moon shadow follows him but whatever goes wrong it leads to the place where all is possible and all is good.
Moonshadow
Cat Stevens
Oh, I'm bein' followed by a moonshadow, moon shadow, moonshadow Leapin and hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow
And if I ever lose my hands, lose my plough, lose my land Oh if I ever lose my hands, Oh if I won't have to work no more
And if I ever lose my eyes, if my colours all run dry Yes if I ever lose my eyes, Oh if I won't have to cry no more
Oh, I'm bein' followed by a moonshadow, moon shadow, moonshadow Leapin and hoppin' on a moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow
And if I ever lose my legs, I won't moan, and I won't beg Yes if I ever lose my legs, Oh if I won't have to walk no more
And if I ever lose my mouth, all my teeth, north and south Yes if I ever lose my mouth, Oh if I won't have to talk
Did it take long to find me? I asked the faithful light Did it take long to find me? And are you gonna stay the night
Moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow, moonshadow

Yes i think so.
Heavy Fe role and quite a lot of Si warmth. The reification process is pretty obvious here : from conflicts to narratives, and from narratives to brainwaves. He seems to only care about what is "reasonable" (Te frame) and potential positive outcomes (Ne agenda). Not so much about truth or meaning. Ti ignoring and Ni polr both fits.

He reminds me quite a lot of TPIQ the way he complacently and pseudo-modestly preens with ingratiating warmth masking a subtle lack of affect.

Right
He says he thinks it's about himself. Which fits both his ct and his e-type imo. FeSi would be quite sure it's about all of us, gathered around the campfire.

Yup, he does say that doesn't he? Good catch. All three of my supervisees that I know personally say stuff similar to that all the time--in that it's like their getting insight into their internal F dynamics is an act of observing another person...they don't avoid Fi but it's never quite internal either.
