I think the 8 leads by a nose and it's 8w9(7w8) but with a big 6w7 second and probably 3w4(2w3) last. That's what I think, 8 with close 6 second and almost double Seven wing anthony . 7 factor plus social pulling up the sx gave him the impression of a 7 fix and being higher sx than he actually is. But he's very clearly sp/so. I'm not a bit surprised he dismissed you for the narcissistic injury. It was his safe way of coping with the conflict. btw of course I know 8 isn't generally 'thick-headed'. Many of the best lawyers are Eights. I'm going to be posting one soon. What happens is when they tend to disintegration they just display brawn.

anthony "Originally called "Desert Song", "Horse" was written while the band was staying at the home studio of musician Arthur Brown, near Puddletown, Dorset.[6] The first two demos were recorded there, by Jeff Dexter and Dennis Elliott, and were intended to capture the feel of the hot, dry desert that had been depicted at the studio from a Salvador Dalí painting, and the strange horse that had ridden out of an M. C. Escher picture. Writer Dewey Bunnell also says he remembered his childhood travels through the Arizona and New Mexico desert when his family lived at Vandenberg Air Force Base.[7] Bunnell has explained that "A Horse with No Name" was "a metaphor for a vehicle to get away from life's confusion into a quiet, peaceful place"."--wiki The wiki article says the horse isn't heroin, which fine, but seems to downplay any drug element at all. I somehow doubt that if they wrote it while staying with Arthur Brown. This was soooo out there for 1968...in crazy times, his crazy world managed to stand out.

After watching that video, I somehow find it understandable that you'd have those doubts.
I originally posted A Horse With No Name on this thread with the intention of writing more about it once my schoolwork had settled down a bit(it hasn't). It was the first song I ever remember hearing and enjoying, I must've been two years old or possibly younger, because I remember my parents playing the song to/near me when I was in a crib. It's been one of my favorite songs ever since then, and it was actually in my YouTube recommendations when I was seeking out nostalgia on the site. Ask and the tech lord(s) will provide, I guess.

With a bit of Se PoLR, asceticism, and cognitive dissonance, the world is your playground. I did not specify which world.

anthony , I'm the one who said you get to Se PolR through unignoring Te, have said it before too. (Also re Eliot). vincent said you have to get Fe inferior through accepting the group. ps Well I guess he may have also applied the PolR via unignoring fifth to the 'webbing' but his big thing was the Fe.

You're right, you have said that to me multiple times and I recall you saying that to me, multiple times. Vincent also said it during the chat towards the end of it, and that's what I think I was referencing off the top of my head. My bad.

hmm...yeah, well I thought it was interesting anthony because combining vincent and me there had the effect of leaving the Fe as something minor but actually the original impetus for the chat was Fe big time. Anyhoo... that was great, lots to think about, lots to say, I'll get back to it soon. For now, especially for hiddenglass atm, I just want to map this with the language I'd be most likely to use: This is the type: Ti frameNe tool Si agendaFe inferiorTe ignore (unignore) Ni demo Se PolRFi role
Red absolute value, Blue relative value, Brown trouble He uses Ne tool (what's NEw) to get to Si, where things SIt, from a frame of Ti which I don't have a good word for yet. What most matters is the Ti and the Si but Ne is how he gets to Si from Ti. Ti-->Ne-->Si The problem areas are Fe because it's inferior but it's also in the upper slots (and comes with the Ti frame as part of the axis), so it's valued but it tends to be delegated. Other people should take care of it. And biggest problem area is Se, which is about raw power over the phenomenal world exactly as it comes, horse with rider, and that is what he DEvalues and does not 'metabolize'. The fifth ignore/unignore function can be easily utilized when the person realizes they need it but the question is do they? So the idea is to compensate for the PolR through the fifth; this goes for everyone. He can easily employ the TEchniques of extraverted thinking to be effective in the world through protocols, productive efficiency, debate, etc. and this is its own assertiveness. This is what Eliot was getting at with his insistence in the poem on his typing thread that the attempt at right action is incarnation although from his Se PolR (and also Ti frame, and Ni demo so absolute valued) view, there are no actions of consequence in the sense that that is ordinarily understood. tbcd

Red absolute value, Blue relative value, Brown trouble What does this mean?
Also; why do you say "un"ignoring?

hiddenglass , a person values a function absolutely when it feels like it's a deep, essential part of who they are. The absolutely valued functions are the primary, third (hidden agenda), sixth (demonstrative) and eighth (role). Overall the higher up the function the more valued. The relative functions are also valued but are not seen to be as so essential to who the person really is; they may even feel foreign to the person (example: my Te feels like an inner secretary I somehow carry around with me). The relatively valued functions are the second (creative or tool), fourth (inferior) and fifth (ignore/unignore). The second though will usually be valued much more than the others because it's so high up. In fact there is the very frequent paradox that the second is much more developed than the absolutely valued third (which seems to be the case in your case). The fifth is often called the ignoring function because it kind of lies there dormant but it is accessible; again the question is will the person use it? I think it's best called ignore/unignore because the unignoring is key to growth. It gets out of the limitations of the first function and it also helps to deal with the PolR. Pretty sure the fourth (inferior) is usually considered relatively valued but I threw it in here in brown with the PolR as a problem spot because it's usually quite underdeveloped and people want to delegate it to someone else (this being a big part of why dual relationships often work but you can't count on that, we should try to develop our fourth.). The PolR (seventh) is 'not metabolized'; as a consequence it is avoided, DEvalued, and/or sort of chaotically fetishized. As to the latter we have for example the phenomenon of TeSi 'gurus' with cph Ni PolR making workshops, videos and books of platitudes and formulas with bullet points about spiritual something or other and claiming to be Ni dom.

Interesting dream I recently had:
I got a job working an acrobatics/gymnasts gymnasium. Every single obstacle that the gymnasts trained with in there was abnormally large and misshapen. The trampolines were overly caved in or out, and the walls and platforms you'd leap from to bounce on them were nearly a hundred feet high. There was no padding on the ground anywhere. The whole gym was inside a massive storage warehouse with all concrete floors. It was very dirty everywhere, with random, dirty objects scattered all over the place that you actually had to carefully sift through in order to walk around. There was a sitting area, with couches that were twisted into confusing shapes, defied gravity, and were arranged in a manner, relative to other couches, that made very little sense. The couches all faced in strange directions, some were very high up(so you couldn't sit on them) and had only one leg, and some were twisted into the shape of a Z or a P. None of the couches were really facing each other. In order to walk around you had to climb over and around them.
I knew I was forced to get a job there against my own will. I was working there during the day with 3 gymnast girls, and one of them had asked me to retrieve 3 objects for her: a fan with a lampshade, a lighter, and some sort of medical device for her head. It was a rather casual environment where people got high, and I got high too. As I was trying to find those objects in that already distorted environment, I kept tripping over various objects, losing sight and having short term memory loss. They all thought this was comical and teased me, and I ultimately wasn’t able to retrieve anything for this girl. My body was only able to move extremely slowly, and I kept mistaking certain objects for other ones and wasn't able to keep track of where I started, where I went, etc.
Then, this guy who was a mute came in. Some 'rowdy' people followed behind him and accidentally knocked over a bunch of objects and caused ruckus that left both me and that guy injured. My middle and third toes were broken on my right foot. I wasn’t able to help the guy with his injuries, but he was like a clandestine medical professional who actually built this device for my toes out of an old plastic bottle.
Suddenly, the whole gymnasium started to rumble randomly, and everyone inside started rushing out the doors. Outside, it was basically an overly plain, ginormous university environment. There was another injured guy, same injury as me with the toes, who the rowdy kids that caused it tried to help. They all rushed outside too, and some teacher chased after them and was gonna hit them for building a fake medical device - the one the other guy made for me. To avoid the teacher, those kids ran into a bush and left the device there. I got curious about what had happened so I also followed them into the bush, then they left before me, and as the teacher arrived, he mistook me for the kids. He starting chasing me down so I started running away.
I ran into this lecture hall. It was HUGE. The seats there seemed to go on in a never-ending direction, and for every single one I tried to sit down at, there was suddenly already a person there. There was this big wall facing all of the seats with a bunch of differently sized projector screens. Some were diagonal, and the wall was not flush, so some were also bent 'into the wall' and over the place. Some screens were miniature and others were huge. Every screen was also covering a different topic that we were expected to take notes on all at once. The walls of the lecture hall had all of these uniform, like little 2x2 inch windows but you either weren’t tall enough to see through them or all of the windows you could see through, were very close to the ground.
Eventually I sat down in a seat with the uncomfortable realization that the seats were so little and so smushed together that everyone’s bodies were uncomfortably touching and giving no room for movement, and students including myself were actually getting STUCK in them.
The dream ended.

anthony, when did you have this dream? What was your job in the acrobatics gym? Was the dream colorful? What colors? When? Can you describe any of the characters? Do any of them remind you of anyone? Go slowly here. "one of them had asked me to retrieve 3 objects for her: a fan with a lampshade, a lighter, and some sort of medical device for her head." Describe these. You and I were doing extensive dream work that led up to specific events. What was your goal / expectation in putting this in the public forum? Edit: perhaps this part should have gone first, perhaps even without my asking anything else. But that I did put it in last underscores that there is a history here that entails your dreams being interpreted (by me). But maybe that's not what your goal/expectation was so perhaps we should just start here.(Also remember that even under maintenance, all members but Emily and Chlay can now access the public forum and that as a moderator, you now have the ability to move a thread anthony). --Roshan

I had the dream only a couple of hours before I wrote that. I didn't want to forget it.
My goal/expectation was not to have the dream interpreted, which I definitely should have specified when writing the post, but I was rather excited when writing about the dream and forgot. In part, I just wanted to share the dream because it was odd and interesting, and the rest of my motivation for posting it here was just to record it here, for myself to reference in the future and pull stuff from(like for a fictional story or something) - I didn't want to forget it.
