Where I probably differ with Joshua L. here is that I would go further back to pre-amoeba days in the evolution of consciousness. Also, it's notable that I titled this thread "Relationship of Jungian psychology AND ct" for a field that people are calling JCT meaning Jungian cognitive psychology.
The problem, though (and hence my reason for the title) is that a lot of people (including people who call the field "JCT") aren't incorporating Jung except on the most superficial level of Tx and Si, i.e. the categorization. And this is a lot of what Joshua discusses here. It's a big problem.
