Identity (=> inf peacocking) => shadow's dual jumper => heavy aux subtype shadow => full shadow => full shadow jumper(the deepest deep)
So for example for ESTP, the degrees of shadow are: ESTP (=>INFJ) => ENFP NeTe jumper => Te subtype ISTJ => ISTJ => SiFi jumper ISTJ

Hi there @ash
This post (like the twos that preceded it) should go in the public section, not in the Study Hall. Study Hall, as stated in the forum description is for reference materials, not for theoretical discussions.
I'll move them now.
You should be able to post there now.
Feel free to pm me if you have any questions about this.

Hmmm, sort of.
But the thing is those "modes" never really manifest as an actual type, let alone as an actual jumper configuration, except for the full shadow mode itself.
What we see is people over-using, flexing and stretching one of their non ego-syntonic function. When it's 4th, it's inferior peacocking, something like "persona mode" When it's 8th (what you call "shadow's dual jumper"), people sit in "role mode"
When it's 7th, it's polr freak out. Might as well call it "panic mode".
But those aren't necessarily shadow per se and don't necessarily lead to it either.
And they doesn't necessarily happen in that order either.
When it's 6th (what you call "heavy aux subtype shadow"), things start to get ugly, and turn to shadow indeed.
Most of the digging into shadow mode happens there, with increasing degrees of 6th overuse. Which is why 6th really serves as a barometer of unhealth.
Full shadow is when 5th start to work like a frame, and then shadow manifest as an actual type.
ESTP will be "in ISTJ", at this point.
And yes, at some point, with enough counterphobic swing, polr kind of works like an agenda for the shadow type.
