This is an exegesis on the Kybalion rather than the text itself. It outlines, and professes to get the essence of, the philosophy of Hermes Trismegistus, the father of western occultism. I just started it and it's an easy read. It's only 130 pages. I'd recommend this book as an introduction to esoterica since it outlines the main, basic concepts that runs through all of Western esoterica from Thelema, to Theosophy, to Chaos Magick etc. www.yogebooks.com/english/atkinson/1908kybalion.pdf

This guy pretty much sums up my interest in esoterica:
Occult studies play to my Ni hidden agenda. The idea is to ascertain, be in flow of, and ultimately master the hidden forces that undulate our reality. But as the man says in the video, the occult is everywhere, it’s hidden in plain sight. Even though the occult is everywhere, to truly experience it, one needs to occupy the slippages and lacunae - the liminal spaces of time and space. Ni doms reflexively do that. I’m planted in the here and now, the focal point where the past ossifies and the future unfolds. I sense the sands of trickle down the hourglass but I’m still fairly detached from the process and not entirely attuned to the nuances that come with it. The process of art and magic is essentially the same, as stated in the video, since the goal of the process is the creative manifestation of intent, so Se manifestation also occurs. My interest in esoterica isn’t entirely mystical though, it’s also practical. Many of the practices of magic - invocation, ritual, visualization, etc aren’t too different from our mundane, everyday practices that help structure our lives. They’re also not too different from cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques. Even the intent and purposes of CBT and magic are pretty much the same: both rest upon the deconditioning of cognitive distortions that prevent us from manifesting our goals and living fulfilling lives, the incorporation of new psycho-technologies, and self-mastery.
Esoterica also plays to my sx9 and 5 fixes. The tools and intent of science and magic are not too different from each other as both intend upon the discovery, understanding, and mastery of the forces that drive our universe. And the ways in which we understand and relate to the universe are ever evolving. The main differences are that the tools and methods are codified, are regulated in the realm of the public, and there needs to be a certain detachment between the observer and observed phenomenon (observer bias - how the presence of the observer affects the assessment of the phenomena). With magic, one becomes transformed as he or she continues his/her practice. There’s a merging between the practitioner and the phenomenon. Also magic is very heterodox (especially chaos magic) so there’s a distinct individual relationship between you and the universe/God/The One etc. There’s a totemizing that also occurs. Concepts and physical objects merge and become reified. These concepts and principles become channeled through these objects and the self.
Next up, my take on chaos magick (in the very near future).

Yes, that's the same thing that happened to me before.
And now i think i know why. I checked the URLs in the browser bar (not just the links that appears in the posts), and the first is actually different.
There is an additionnal "%C2%A0" at the end after .pdf Stuff like that happens sometimes when a blank space is copied then pasted at the end of a link. Removing that blank space should fix the link in the first post.
