It's by Vangelis, the great pioneer of electronic film scores.

Well you were barely born when the movie came out or you would have known it. It was a huge blockbuster hit, worldwide I'm sure.
I did a lot of work on Vangelis, the composer, that was on the earlier Facebook group.

I'm behind on reading Maps of Meaning to get a better fix on Peterson type; doing the notes to poem; way behind with Cathars; need to consolidate more E2 stuff; 'the 27 trifix board after this, I think.

Really, I just used TEchniques for the divergent learners' improvised c.t. primer because it occurred to me on the fly, but... "The central concept defining a technological society is technique. Technique is different from machines, technology, or procedures for attaining an end. "In our technological society, technique is the totality of methods rationally arrived at and having absolute efficiency (for a given stage of development) in every field of human activity."[1]" --wikipedia article on Jacque Ellul's "The Technological Society"

I happened upon the website for this physical therapy establishment in New York City. As you can see fourteen of the therapists there are "she/her" and the rest use no pronouns. I also discovered that "Beyond Basics Physical Therapy is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion. As a company, we are committed to the inclusion of all individuals. Every person is welcome and respected here. Any action not consistent with creating a safe space for all, will not be tolerated." As gamma, I do not entertain the notion that I may be a brain in a jar, but it's hard to believe all this isn't a joke, or at least a large-scale psyop.

First time I ever heard of Big History. I should get this. (Or the equivalent for dummies if it's not dumbed down enough.)

Sorry for the late reply but...
Me too, actually. And i'm not quite sure what to think about it.
On one hand, it sounds like something good historians always did and should always do. On the other hand, it sounds like something that could be easily overdone too.
The fact it's now "a thing" might be a sign that the pendulum is swinging on the side of teleology again though.
I'll look more into it when i get the chance.

Well, conventional historians doesn't start with the Big Bang, of course. But long-time frames, global scope and multidisciplinary approaches are not new either.
But maybe my perspective is biased because of the importance of the Annales school here in France.
