What can you say about someone else really? What right does anyone have to say anything about someone else's life?
I'm quite sure I'm more qualified and capable to say something about some famous person's life than most of the assholes, bimbos, wannabe's and charlatans that pretend to be working in this field but still...really...
what right do I have to say anything about someone else's life? And yet it's even worse if I don't..
It's even more of a desecration.

Well, you were in that car with that song, in that stream of time.

Therefore I shall say it is noteworthy that Richard while clearly his parents' golden boy is said in the wiki article to have been the withdrawn one while Karen, who wanted to remain in the background drumming, is said to have been outgoing.
And yet that was not my impression going through many materials previouly, which supports my 'theory that they were contraries who were always flipping roles but he, as the ultimately introverted one was the primary hose of extinguishment.
It is also noteworthy that Richard did NOT write the first two hits. I need to look into this (interpret need very loosely) but he DID co-author e.g. Yesterday Once More. He seems to have seen himself as composer/arrnager but..yet...and...
I wanted to read the bio. I should/should I? Gotta get those 22 up on the marquee...Look at them together, this was just their second hit. They'd only just begun...already he's being subordinated and you can see him bristling, while she, the 'outgoing' one, obviously hates the limelight.
They're both awkward for different reasons. New hypthesis: she an introverting extravert, he an extraverting introvert. Possibly both creative subtypes. We shall see and we shell sea who knows we may never know.

Yes, I was, and I just knew when I happened upon that song about the aliens last year, completely out of the blue, I mean it's not like I was listening to the Carpenters...that it was really really important, that it was the essence, the soul of who they were and what their project was about, probably more than they even knew...but...still and all...what right do I have to/what right. not to say so? Rhetorical question, don't sweat it. Really.

Dude, she did not even want to come out from behind the drum kit!
That's probably why the We've Only Just Begun video was staged thar way, so she could inch her way slowly out of her stage fright to the foreground.
Moreover the reason why through all the Pepto Bismol the pink of it was so meaningful was because they were the couple.
"Close to You' and 'We've Only Just Begun' were about them, about their incipient marriage in the public eye, on the intra/ter/planetary radar...but they were too young and innocent to know it. But when that video about the aliens was made and she vanishes into the ship at the end, I'm sure he had huge say-so over the video and 'in whatever form' he knew...

She vanishes into the spaceship and the written notes of the music.

Today I learned a new word: mereotopology.I learned it trying to figure out what a word I already knew actually meant: metaphysics. I found this involves ontology, and epistemology too, both also words I knew, along with mereotopology. In fact it is unclear to me how these terms all interrelate mereotopologically, but on the plus side I always knew Whitehead would come yapping at my heels one day. Welcome, Alfred, welcome to my blog.

Oh yeah, Whitehead My first "encounter" with him was through Deleuze (who refers to him quite a bit) a long time ago. But i never read him. Yet

Speech: “All the world’s a stage” BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (from As You Like It, spoken by Jaques) All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. At first the infant, Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms; And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel And shining morning face, creeping like snail Unwillingly to school. And then the lover, Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier, Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard, Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel, Seeking the bubble reputation Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice, In fair round belly with good capon lin’d, With eyes severe and beard of formal cut, Full of wise saws and modern instances; And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon, With spectacles on nose and pouch on side; His youthful hose, well sav’d, a world too wide For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice, Turning again toward childish treble, pipes And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all, That ends this strange eventful history, Is second childishness and mere oblivion; Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything. vincent

Nobody *liked* this on my facebook page yet, but my fb a/c seems to have very little 'reach' these days when I do bother to post there, so here it is:

My friend from college's mother died and I saw it on Facebook. I suppose if it weren't for Facebook I wouldn't have known, or even been in touch with her so there's that. Anyway I sent her what I posted after my mother died three years ago.
