We can't go around waving a magic wand pronouncing "in shadow" incantations every time there's a difficult typing.

Anyway that's what he is. He's someone who saw the education he got collapse into something insidious AND got under the influence of Brett Weinstein at the same time. Brett Weinstein is no slouch. That's a very high bar. Benjamin seems to be trying to find inferior, unignore fifth, and develop PolR as power (whatever they are) to be satisfactory to Brett's high standards.
Anyway, I watched the beginning with Sargon and he's letting him take the whole stage. Usually, from what I've seen (which admittedly isn't THAT much), he's more like this in interviews. But I also thought they were NeFi and SiTe duals until I saw some other stuff.
He is VERY observant, very attentive, very emotionally engaged, but there is also a playful element to it, something cheerfully diabolical.

That doesn't mean he and Brett have an unequal relationship though vincent . The fact is he WAS a student and he followed the exiled TEACHER. He then made himself a name documenting what happened so there is a very serious standard to uphold here. Honestly Brett and Heather are like Jesus and Mary in Science Land. You feel like you have to be the best you can be if you are going to follow in their footsteps. it's pretty humbling. They're dead serious. They're impeccable thinkers. They never lose their temper. They're kind and ingratiating but firm. They gave up everything to take a stand. They have a perfect marriage. The list goes on...

But we've been using it for unhealth vincent .
Yes, you're right. We did.
I don't really have a name for what i was thinking about. I was simply thinking that, if he was indeed an introvert, there would still be a reason that explains why he give NeFi or FeNi impressions at first glance and that would be the influence of the shadow.

Something cheerfully diabolical he may feel compelled to keep in check because he has followed in Brett's footsteps...

I really did not think this was going to be so difficult.
I was sure at one point he was TeNi with found Fi, unignoring Ti and was working on his PolR but I just watched a bunch of his Evergreen documentary and it doesn't seem to hold up.
He really stands back and I thought he was trying to be scientific but he stands back too much for TeNi, even TeNi trying to please Brett. They have an opinion about everything.
Also the vultology isn't holding up for TeNi.
He may after all be in the zone between NeFi and NiFe.

I thought about TeNi when i was watching the video with Brett. Especially when Brett says "let me say what i think you just said in a somewhat different language". This is exactly the kind of "translation" i would expect to see between quasi-identical.
But then i thought : "why would a NeTi explain the scientific method to a TeNi ?" "why would a TeNi ask a NeTi if objectivity is even possible without conflict of interest" ?

Brett and Heather are taking a stand and trying to get to the root of the rot. They are trying to apply an evolutionary biology lens and complex systems and game theory to get together people to fix what's broken.
They were like the first people on the left to say just how broken it is and they are like pit bulls, they won't let it go. I assume Benjamin Boyce is every bit as aware as I am of what they have sacrificed and what they are worth.
I believe his being a disciple of Brett's (for lack of a less loaded word, that's what he is) is making him difficult to type.

I did think quasi-identicals worked for them. Two people with the exact same interests coming from opposite directions who are completely compatible as long as the interests remain the same and the goals are agreed upon. So Benjamin tries to bring Brett's airy ideas more into the hustle and bustle of the agora.

Why not?
The problem is it doesn't seem to be holding up overall. Not that one thing or another was said.
He doesn't seem to give a lot of TeNi signals nor sustain the things TeNi's seem to do.

Vincent, would you also think "why would a NeTi explain the scientific method to an NiTe?"

I don't know, it felt a bit weird that Brett would feel the need to explain that to a fellow member of the "NT club", who is also his actual disciple.
Right. I agree.

He is his actual disciple but I'm pretty sure he was not his actual student, which is quite significant. But since we agree the signals and behaviors aren't holding up let's keep it on the back burner.

Hmm. That's a bit different.
I would probably suspect an extinguishing attempt in this case.
