I’m on board with that typing for him. My first impression of him was of a sort of slightly less schlumpy, more image concerned Ralph Nader.

“projecting or billboarding the image of a techno-log cabin punk“ is a befitting description.
Those teenage blog poems almost make him seem like he had this grand vision in mind, a vision of being far more well-known than he was at the time of writing, like he was 3w4ishly constructing this behind-the-scenes narrative of himself and wanted to make sure that, before he “made it,” all of the pieces of the narrative were organized properly.
The poems seem like self-advertising for the future. One day, after Jack was famous, people would look back and see what he wrote and be fascinated, or something—they’d see he was “Jak daemon” the badass.

Well, he did eventually delete them but he also had to know nothing really gets deleted from the Internet. And then there is this. True, the proceeds went to charity but that all seems very Threeish. And it's not uncommon for Threes to cultivate a shaggy rough and tumble look when they no longer have to be well- groomed. Consider Robert Plant.

Successful Threes with enough integration to no longer feel they have to prove that much to anyone. Plant is a lot healthier than Dorsey though, but of course he's also a lot older.

(Dorsey still seems like he's proving he no longer has to prove anything).

resumejak daemon is your standard, unusual, stentorian, grassroots hacker. jak lives in a chaotic cruise of crypto anarchy, pseudonym federations, 4AM hacks, viral dispatch, reputation taggers, temporary autonomous zones, colony/clan workforces, urban cores, and corporate disorder. jak's past and current efforts manipulate the background process in small ways to drive various aspects of the world. one node at a time. This really, really, really bears a strong resemblance to what modern-day reddit posters would refer to as a copypasta, a kind of "shitpost:" a post of "aggressively, ironically, trollishly poor quality." Example, from reddit: "Many people always ask me how I was able to get into Harvard as a 16 year old who skipped 3 grades of high school. They think I got in because of my scholarly records, but no the key is the interview. As I sat in the Harvard Dean's office in front of the board of reviewers for my application, the Dean asks me "Why should you be a good candidate for this school?" They seemed bored but I replied "Well I was born a child prodigy, placed 1st in my state spelling bee for three consecutive years, I can speak eight different languages not counting Latin, play four different instruments, I skipped grades 4 through 6, and graduated my high school as valedictorian at the age of 14. I then worked as an intern at both Telsa, and NASA." Suddenly the room burst into laughter and many of board instantly started scribbling down "No" near the application check marks. The Dean says "Sorry but you are just not the type we are looking for." But then I said "Excuse me but I wasn't finished... I watch Rick and Morty" The Dean looked at me like an idiot and said "So....?" Then I replied with a smile "And I understand all the references and subtle jokes" An audible gasp let out by the board was so loud the secretary had to come in. You could hear a pin drop and then suddenly all at once the entire board clicked their pens on the "Approved Box" and I was instantly handed a diploma and now I'm teaching advanced physicals there. I guess you can say I'm pretty smart. "

What I mean to say is, it seems like around the time he wrote those posts, he was REALLY 3w4ishly trying to live out (and live in) this superhero idea of himself as the hidden Batman in omniscient control of the techno-sphere in Gotham City, and doing so in SUCH a caricatural way—like he was inspired by characters in late 90s-early 2000s "hacker" movies with superhuman computer abilities. It really really seems like he, on a conscious level, wanted EVERYONE to come across that and be like "woah, how impressive." It fits Social 3 "needing everyone's applause," I suppose.

I kinda veer to a very withdrawn 3. 369. He reminds me more of a synflow Nathan Fielder or DGray here.

That order sounds right to me yes.
Actually, at times, he reminds me a bit of Pete Buttigieg

Hmm, Superhero, Batman and Gotham City, i don't know... But his (2003) resume brings back memories of (1999) Fight Club for me. And not just because Fight Club's narrator was also named Jack.
It's the whole crypto-temporary-viral cells theme.
One of his not-so-deleted blog entries is actually titled "wow".

Well, what that daemon post sounded to me most of all was 'Beat', and 'Wow' recalls the famous Kerouac quote from the more famous Beat novel "On the Road", which is about traveling west to find America: I pictured myself in a Denver bar that night, with all the gang, and in their eyes I would be strange and ragged and like the Prophet who has walked across the land to bring the dark Word, and the only Word I had was 'Wow! Here's Kerouac, and come to think of it, Jak Daemon, with his obsession with all sorts of electronic traffic, also may have been thinking of Henry Miller's semi-autobiographic protagonist of "Tropic of Capricorn", who worked at the Cosmodemonic Telegraph Company in New York in the 1920's. Miller was a precursor of the Beats, and probably the precursor of the Beat novel.

Oh...and another thing....when you sent an email to a wrong or defunct address before, it would be returned by the "mailer daemon".

hmm...I think I haven't seen a mailer daemon message for some time because it was yahoo's and I switched to the nefarious google panopticon.

Well on that article that shows his old blog posts, he explains what a daemon is and why he associates with it: "daemon: a background angel. in computer terms, a background process. i live in the background. i strive to be behind the curtain with that subtle influence. that's where i've always found myself. i like to dig deep. find out how things function underneath the covers and thoughts. this also points to chaos theory and the butterfly effect." vincent I was actually going to say, before you said it, that he reminded me of Buttigieg as well, but it wasn't enough for it to be notable. And Roshan his poetry does sound like something approximating Beat poetry, sort of but not really, to me.
